1936 Indian Scout Hillclimber This 1936 Indian Scout had been transformed into a Privateer Hillclimber. This means that the average enthusiast built a hillclimber out of their own personal motorcycle. Chuck Myles; a motorcycle enthusiast and racer, purchased this bike over 30 years ago in Ohio as a spare hillclimber, just in case his primary motorcycle became unusable. The frame was homemade; it has a factory gas tank and an alcohol motor. After sitting in Chuck's barn for over thirty years, Brian Keating purchased the disassembled hillclimber and rebuilt the motorcycle. The museum then acquired it from Brian in 2010. August 2010 |
