Pit's Mikro Bikes Motorad-Steilland Show |
Description |
Pit's collection of "Mikro Bikes" & memorabilia Pit Lengner of Mannheim Germany - also known as "Kamikaze Pit" - the nickname attributed to his being a steep face "Wall of Death" rider. He is also a world record holder builder and rider of self-built mini-mikro motorcycles. For 35 years now, he has traveled through much of Europe entertaining audiences while riding a motorcycle inside the confines a steep faced wooden barrel. Starting on level ground, then going faster and faster as he climbed the wall of that barrel until he was lapping high up on the steep face of the Wall of Death inches from the audience. He would also put on lively shows riding impossibly small "mikro" bikes he built himself. These vehicles are a fraction of the size of a mini-bike. The largest at less than two feet and the smallest about the size of a shoe! He would climb aboard the Mikro-bike magically balancing as he took off to wiz around the floor inside the circled audience, occasionally sliding the bike! He amazed people with his skill and entertained them with his infectious humor. His shows were great fun. |
